Optimal has announced that trading is materially ahead of market expectations with both online payments business, Netbanx and its e-wallet arm, Neteller, performing well. Numis has upgraded eps forecasts by 15% to 31.5 cents for this year and has increased its price target to 600p. With new drivers of growth from US online gambling and the European merchant acquiring benefits from principal membership of Visa / Mastercard, not to mention strong momentum from existing customers, further eps upgrades are highly likely.
