Playtech has announced the proposed acquisition of Plus 500 (PLUS, 370p), which operates an online trading platform for retail investors in contracts for difference (CFDs), for 400p-a-share cash. Plus’ shares have fallen from a peak of 781p after it announced it was required to review its anti-money laundering checks on customers.Plus 500 now expects its revenues for 2015 to be lower than the previous year with margins significantly lower due to maintained marketing spend. However, Plus’ track record has been good with net profit and eps rising 103% and 89% respectively to US$102.5m and 89 cents in its latest year.
