Amazingly, Scapa’s full year results have again beaten forecasts despite three upgrades last year and the shares have soared above £2.For the year ended 31 March revenues, pretax profit and eps grew 4%, 22% and 26% respectively to £236m, £13.7m and 9.1p. Although that was £8.8m worse than a year ago it included the £11m acquisition of First Water.Healthcare, which supplies advanced woundcare products and medical tapes, such as disposable adhesive pads for medical devices, increased sales 8% to £373.8m while profits rose 9% to £11.1m, with margins up 0.3% to 15%.  Visibility is benefiting from significant multi-year outsourcing contracts with major blue chip companies.
