The shares have rallied after Supergroup announced a strong finish to its year with retail like-for-like sales rising 11.6% for the 15 weeks to 25 April, while overall revenues increased 18.4% to almost £135m. Unlike in Q3 this result came despite minimal benefit from clearance sales.Within wholesale, Q4 sales increased 9.7%, with overall H2 sales 7.2% ahead of the first half and was achieved despite the loss of a key customer.Excluding the recently acquired US stores, Supergroup opened a net 24 new stores, delivering year-on-year space growth of 13%.
