Tarsus - Bid at 425p locks in 605% gain

The shares leapt after Tarsus announced it had received a take-over approach from European private equity firm, Charterhouse, at 425p a share, valuing the firm at £561m or £668m including debt. The deal equates to 17 times average cash profits (EBITDA) for 2017 and 2018, averaged out to take account for biennial events occurring in “odd” years.Charterhouse has the backing of Tarsus’ independent directors and institutional shareholders, equating to irrevocable support from shareholders accounting for 41.3% of the share equity.Tipped at just 61p in March ‘09, the shares have gained a fantastic 605%.
