Results for the year ended February ’21 were ahead of forecasts with revenues and EBITDA increasing 41% and 37%, respectively, to £1,745m and £173.6m. EBITDA margin fell 0.2% to 10% but that was impressive given spiralling airfreight costs, partially offset by lower returns rates. In spite of capex (£49.3m) and acquisitions (£235.3m), net cash rose c. £35m to £276m. Those acquisitions of the online bits and IP of Oasis & Warehouse, Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton were also margin dilutive as Boohoo invested in re-platforming and refreshing their propositions.
