In an unscheduled update, DX said it expects to significantly exceed expectations. While DX Express has traded in line, the outperformance has again come from DX Freight, with sales growth expected to be £10m higher than forecast, driven by increased volumes from existing customers and new customer wins. The hot spot is its 1-Man division, which has gained significant market share; Liberum notes that while the early phase of DX’s upgrade cycle was due to the tail-wind from more package deliveries to people’s homes during lockdown, it thinks this trend is now a permanent shift with not only more e-commerce orders but also a wider range of goods bought online.
