To a casual observer air charter broker, Air Partner, would have been the ideal candidate for a profit warning, following the 11 September terrorist attacks.  Indeed its broker, Beeson Gregory, pre-emptively slashed its forecasts soon after.  But the company has confounded sceptics by posting  better than expected  interim results,  on 16 April, with forward bookings surging 27% in February.  This resilience partly comes from the fact that  one third of its sales are derived from non-cyclical activities, such as air ambulances and government flights.  In spite of the sale of 1.3m shares at 300p, by founder and chairman, TonyMack, who retains 41.5%, the shares have now almost doubled to 331p, s ...
