Interim results were in line with expectations with sales up 22% to £41.8m, operating profit up by 53% to £2.2m and earnings  32% to 6.4p.  Of Nord's two divisions, the best performancecame from education outsourcing, with profit up  22% to£1.3m.   There were no further contract wins since WalthamForest to report, although Nord has reached a shortlist stage (jointlywith Amey) for a PFI/PPP contract with Surrey LEA, worth £40m a year,to manage a range of education services.  Education Deliveryproduced same again profits of £1.5m, on a 31% increase in sales asstart-up losses in new schools at Ukraine and Budapest more thanoffset growth in the maturer UK schools.   Nord has al ...
