Glisten, which was established to "buy and build" a portfolio of confectionery businesses has made a dream start towards its initial target of growing annual sales to over £100m. Glisten was only formed in 2001 but thanks to two significant acquisitions last year, its broker, Charles Stanley, now expects turnover to triple from £21m to £60m and pretax profit to increase nearly 130% to £4.1m in the two years ending 30 June 2006.
