Flying in the face of some fierce volatility, on-line payment processor NETeller has announced excellent results for the year ended 31 December, with revenue rising 130% to US$82.6m, giving pretax profit of US$45.8m and earnings of 28 cents. Earnings were struck from a tax rate of 28%, but this has since fallen to 10% now that the company has moved its head office to the Isle of Man. Net cash increased to US$77m. NETeller's cost control has been very sound to date, with gross margins holding at a respectable 69.4% in spite of the employee base doubling to 320, spread across offices in Calgary, the Isle of Man, London and Singapore.
