The presence of Nick Prest as Chairman of Cohort, which supplies highly skilled technical services to the defence sector, is certainly one reason why its shares received warm support from investors following their introduction to AIM at 123p on 8 March. Those with long memories will remember that Prest played key roles in the success of two former go-go stocks quoted in the defence sector. The first was United Scientific Holdings, which earned the highest total return of any stock in the 1970s.
