With energy prices again soaring to extremely high levels, oil & gas producer Geopark has timed its recent entry onto AIM at what some may consider the top end of the market. At its current price of 292p, Geopark, which has significant reserves in Chile and Argentina, is valued at £89.6m, once cash balances are stripped out, which provides an attractive entry point. Our confidence is based on several factors, the key one being that Geopark expects to increase its production from just over 200 barrels of oil equivalent a day (boepd) to 4,600 by the end of next year and nearly 10,000 by 2009, at which point operating cashflow should top US$50m.
