In spite of the fact that shares in fully listed Safestore, the UK’s largest provider of self storage space, have trodden water since their admission in March, we believe that once they stir into life, the gains could be massive. Chief executive Steve Williams, who we met with recently, has presided over a period of very fast growth during which turnover has increased from £5.5m in 2002 to nearly £64m last year, transforming a loss into an underlying EBITDA of £33.4m.
