Although sentiment has been against consumer related shares in recent months, restaurant firm Prezzo showed it remains a top class operator by producing strong final results. For the year ended 30 December, pretax profit increased 23% to £10.6m on turnover that rose 29% to £70.1m. Eps increased 32% to 3.4p. Prezzo has employed an aggressive expansion program in recent years and 2007 was no exception with 32 restaurants opened, taking the total to 127. So far this year it has opened five more units with another five currently being built. Its geographical coverage has now been expanded beyond its heartland in the south and south-east, with recent openings including Harrogate and Hull in the north, Cardiff in the west and Falmouth ...
