The strong share price performance for Carphone Warehouse, which is best known for its chain of mobile phone stores, has been well supported by forecast upgrades, which have been increased no fewer than three times in six months. There are two factors driving up its earnings. The more obvious one is the emergence of higher value smart phones, which are quickly becoming a must-have accessory even in these penny pinching times. But Carphone has also chanced upon an even more exciting opportunity, advising US consumer electronics giant, Best Buy, on how to improve its own mobile phone stores.
