In its update for the period from 1 January to 28 April, Informa said its start to the year was in line with expectations. In academic information book sales are ahead, while subscription journal renewals are in line with previous years. In professional & commercial information the difficult trends have impacted on financial services products, although health care and pharma are performing better. This, combined with last year's cost savings leave it well-placed for the full year.
