When we made MP Evans a main write-up in December 2010 we noted the key drivers were a growing production profile and high palm oil prices and these factors have combined to deliver blow out final results. For the year to 31 December Evans' after tax profits rose 40% to US$30.3m. Eps rose 35% to 56.1 cents while net debt was US$4m. Within its core Indonesian estates there was a 27% increase in output to 249,300 tonnes of fresh fruit bunches thanks to further maturing of younger acreage; remember it takes seven-eight years before a plant starts producing peak yields.
