Hot on the heels of a £42m equity fund raising at 775p a share to accelerate its strategy of developing and expanding its portfolio of UK surface coal mining assets Hargreaves has announced that it has been confirmed as preferred bidder to acquire certain assets from the liquidators of Scottish Coal. The company has been granted a six weeks exclusivity period to conduct due diligence. Hargreaves seems to have put its other problems behind it and the shares, trading on a forward PE of 7 (Panmure eps forecast: 132.3p) for 2013, look cheap. Await developments. ...
