Energy Assets has announced the acquisition of BGlobal Metering (BGM), a Blackburn-based supplier and installer of smart electricity meters, to the industrial & commercial sector for £2.3m. BGM, which has a portfolio of c. 60,000 meter points and provides data services for around 90,000 meter points, gives Energy Assets a platform to enter the electricity metering market and opens up strong cross-selling opportunities. Management believe the deal will be eps enhancing within 12 months of the acquisition.Earlier, Energy Assets released a trading update, which noted trading is in line with expectations for the year ended 31 March.
