In a bull market such as this investors usually have to pay a premium for companies that exhibit strong growth characteristics but occasionally you can get the opportunity to buy in at an attractive entry point when investors react badly to a temporary slip up. One example is Supergroup, a fashion brand owner best known for selling Superdry branded T-shirts, hooded tops and jackets with a novel mix of American fabrics and Japanese designs. The company caught investors by surprise as its fourth quarter trading update noted an unexpected 1.3% decline in retail like-for-like sales, which it blamed on a late Easter and changes in product mix, with fewer sales of higher value outerwear and increased volumes of lower priced summer clothing.
