The shares jumped nearly £1 to a new high of 872p after UAE-based hospital and healthcare operator NMC announced two more acquisitions for a combined US$100m including debt, adding a new service line and geographic expansion. In both deals the founders are expected to remain with the company.Larger of the two deals is the US$64m purchase of Dr Sunny Healthcare, which generated revenues of US$32.7m and ebitda of US$6.7m in 2014. Dr Sunny comprises six medical centres and three pharmacies in Sharjah, the third largest emirate in the UAE. NMC already runs a hospital in Sharjah on an outsourced management basis and expects this emirate to follow Abu Dhabi and Dubai by introducing mandatory healthcare insurance for all, implying a ...
