The shares soared after Energy Assets announced it had agreed to be acquired by Alinda Capital Partners, a US infrastructure fund manager, for 685p a share. The proposed deal values the group at £198m and represents an enterprise value / EBITDA of 13.8x based on its 2015 results. It’s already received irrevocable undertakings from large investors speaking for nearly 45% of the shares, but a counter offer is not impossible.Gain to date is now a fantastic 193% since we originally tipped them at 234p in July ‘13.
