Having hit lows of 61p at the epicentre of COVID-19 and the oil price war, the shares have made a remarkable recovery. Improving sentiment partly reflects its announcement on 17th April that it intends to transfer to the Full List and expects trading to commence on 18th May. This was one of the key reasons we highlighted the shares back in July 2019 as it could be in line for promotion to the FTSE-250, which would attract tracker funds to the shares. The trading picture is also not too bad either. Its model is to buy mature onshore wells and use well optimisation techniques to extend reserves and offset natural declines and hedge future production to protect profitability.
