The shares have recovered well from lows just above £7 to 1147p after Homeserve announced that full year results for the year ended March are expected to be ahead of expectations. Pretax profit is now expected to rise 12% to £181m. The core membership business, which provides an insurance service for households covering water leaks, electrical issues and mice infestations, again performed well. Customer numbers are expected to rise to 8.3m (FY’19: 8.2m) with North America up from 4.0m to 4.4m and growth in France offsetting declines in the UK and Spain.
