Darwinian themes of survival of the fittest are more prevalent in the airline industry than most and while some, such as Easyjet and IAG (owner of BA), scramble to raise new money and Virgin Australia goes into administration, shares in low cost airline Wizz Air have rallied strongly since we highlighted them at 2162p last month. As well as being one of the most successful airlines, with net profit having doubled from Eu146m to Eu292m between FY’15-FY’19, Wizz has amazingly re-started flights while others remain grounded.
