Shares in property franchise business Belvoir soared to an all-time high of 223p after results beat pre-Covid expectations, leading to double-digit upgrades. Sales grew 13% and with operating margin increasing from 32.8% to 34.9%, that translated to a 23% jump in eps to 16.7p. Net debt fell from £6.9m to £3.7m in spite of a £2.1m acquisition and £1.9m dividend. The company makes its money by charging franchisees an initial fee of £22,500 to join its network, plus an ongoing royalty of 11-12% of their sales, known as the management service charge (MSF).
