Housebuilders have been reporting strong market conditions with robust selling rates (helped by the stamp duty cut and 95% mortgages) and planned outlet openings. One riding on the coat tails is “brick factor” Brickability, which has announced that trading for the year to March ’21 will be ahead of previous expectations and the shares have broken out to new highs. Founded in 1984 and listed on Aim in August 2019, Brickability’s mainstay is its bricks division (77% FY’20 sales), which supplies around 300 million bricks to both large and small house builders and contractors who themselves operate in the private housing, social housing and private rental (PRS) sectors.
