The stars continue to align for Sylvania Platinum with record commodity prices powering a 70% jump in revenue to US$74.2m and doubling in EBITDA to US$58.7m in Q3 to end March. Net cash increased by US$35m to US$102.1m. Production was 17,420 PGM ounces and full year guidance for 70,000 oz is unchanged. While lower than anticipated, PGM recoveries and inconsistent supply of Run of Mine material to one of its six plants slightly impacted production and reduced efficiency. Although it also suffered rising electricity, labour costs and unfavourable currency movements (Rand +5% vs US$), gross profit margins still increased from 74.5% to 77.5%.
