Cake Box revealed an encouraging full year update slightly ahead of expectations. Sales grew 11%, benefiting from enhanced marketing campaigns (particularly online click and collect) and new product - a significant acceleration in H2, given first half growth was only 7%. Adjusted pretax is expected to be slightly ahead, helped by lower raw material costs and efficiencies from investments made in the past 18 months such as the new CRM system, e-commerce website and brand identity refresh. Net cash rose £1m to £7.3m. Outlook for the store roll-out is positive with the group identifying 200 target areas for new stores to get to its 400-store long-term target.
