The shares jumped after Easyjet revealed reduced winter pretax losses in the six months ended 31st March to £340m-£360m (greater than £50m improvement) despite fuel headwinds and a £40m impact from the Middle East. H1 revenue per seat rose 5% year-on-year while cost per seat was flat (ex fuel), in line with guidance. Easyjet Holidays increased pretax profit three-fold to £31m. Encouragingly, capacity was expanded with the number of seats in H2 growing  8% year-on-year.
