Burren, the oil exploration and production company with interests inthe Caspian Sea and West Africa, has enjoyed a flying start since its introduction to the full list last December at 130p.  Burren already has a formidable profit record, thanks to significant growth inproduction rates, underpinned by solid levels of reserves, stretching out for at least 17 years.   Latest forecasts from house broker, Seymour Pierce, indicate that it will see a leap in earnings growth from 13.6p in 2003 to 20.2p this year, but that excludes any upside from a number of exploration projects which will be worked through shortly.
