After previously warning that the tough conditions experienced in business publishing had spread to its consumer magazines Highbury surprised investors with a more upbeat update on 28 January. This said that trading in the last two months of 2003 had been in line with expectations and therefore the year as a whole will meet market forecasts.   On the plus side, Highbury has successfullyre-staffed its business division after the disruption caused by the downsizing into a single office.
