After spiking to a new all time high of 691p at one point, giving us a gain of 61% since our main recommendation just 10 months ago, shares in Speedy Hire have finally paused for breath. Evolution Securities has issued a new note which puts the rise down to Speedy's management doing a round of visits to brokers and investors. Clearly this went down a treat although our hunch is that the mini bull-market has also belatedly given it a decent rating. The broker also notes that the succession of the CEO role from John Brown to Steve Corcoran, like Brown a long-time Speedy company man of nearly 15 years, has been handled very smoothly.
