Shares in TanzaniteOne rocketed to a new high of 194p following news that its exploration program had encountered tanzanite at depths twice those previously known. It therefore believes that the inferred resource and life of the mine may be significantly increased and possibly even doubled. Just as significant is its belief that the mine’s overall throughput of tanzanite will increase beyond the market’s original expectations. House broker Williams de Broe has finally issued forecasts and cautiously expects pretax of US$13.1m for last year, before rising sharply to US$25m this year and US$36.6m in 2007.
