In its pre-close update for the year ended 31 December, Burren noted that average group production on a working interest basis climbed by 9% to 34,200 barrels oil per day (bopd). Average selling prices were up nearly US$11 to US$58.38 per barrel and this helped net cash swell from US$125m to a healthy US$200m. In Turkmenistan (48% of production), output inched ahead by 6% to 16,300 bopd. Burren made two discoveries from its deep drilling program, which resulted in 15m barrels being added to reserves (subject to the usual year-end audit), more than covering annual production.
