After oscillating in the 200p-280p range for the best part of two years, shares in escrow solutions firm NCC finally broke into new territory in January and established a new high of 349p, nearly double the 184p at which we recommended them back in November ’04. Given that its interim results on 23 January were simply "in-line," we assume that it was the news of a significant acquisition made the same day that has caused the new buying wave. That acquisition was of Site Confidence, a web assurance performance and monitoring company based in Dorking, providing NCC with a foothold for expansion in the South East.
