North Sea focused oil & gas producer, Venture Production’s latest trading update showed that average net daily production was 44,706 barrels oil equivalent per day (boepd), an increase of 50% over 2005 and around 2,400 barrels more than analysts expected. The fact that it produced an average 54,000 boepd in the last quarter was particularly impressive given that it had to contend with unusually bad weather. The other main positive was that its net proven and probable reserves have increased by 37% to 221m barrels oil equivalent.
