Critics have found it very hard to find a chink in the armour ofChemring, a leading supplier of decoy countermeasures, such as flaresand chaff, which are used to prevent enemy missiles from hittingmilitary targets. In a remarkable purple patch, which started way backin 2002, Chemring has seen its pretax profit soar from £5.2m to £53.2min 2007 and eps increase from 10p to 111p, helped by the protractedwars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
