After issuing a profit warning at its interim results Homeserve, which sells annual insurance policies covering emergency repair services for the home, produced a more settling trading update for the period from 1 October to 22 January. In the UK membership side, which is in its key period for marketing activity, new policy sales have continued to perform well and the group expects to achieve similar sales to last year. Importantly, the slight fall in retention rates (which triggered the profit warning) has now stabilised.
