Synergy reported revenues increasing 8% to £73.3m in Q3 with the UK experiencing growth of 2.6%, the rest of Europe 16% and the small Asian unit 14.7%. This was in line with expectations. Operating margins were 1.5% up on the same period last year and 0.9% in the year to date. Meanwhile, net debt fell from £148m to £140m. Synergy's expansion plans remain on track with a new decontamination facility opening in Knowsley in the UK in January and it expects to achieve financial close on another new facility with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The shares responded well and are now 21.5% ahead of our original recommendation price of 200p in July 2003. Continue to hold. ...
