With Rio Tinto, 4397p noting that global demand will require the mining industry to supply more materials and minerals in the next 20 years than it has in the past 10,000, the bull market in commodities shows few signs of waning.  One of the hot spots has been copper, with the price having soared from US 125 cents / lb in the darkest credit crunched days of 2008 to the current 461 cents / lb on the back of soaring demand from China and a lack of meaningful new supply.
