The shares smashed through £9 at one point, hitting a new high of 948p, on the back of a positive update. Trading has been in line with revenue growth of 4.4% in the first nine months, implying over 7% in the third quarter. In the UK & Ireland revenues grew 2.5% to £112.4m, with a flat performance in linen contrasting with a sparkle from decontamination (+12.4%) and sterilisation (+9.2%). Despite anecdotal evidence of NHS hospitals rationing care, Synergy's volumes held up well. In Europe & the Middle East sales rose 6% to £88.8m and a similar picture emerged with linen sales flat and sterilisation up 11.3%.
