The shares soared to a new high of 78p after Photo-Me announced its intention to pay a special dividend of 3p a share. At a cost of £11m it will barely make a dent into Photo-Me's cash pile of £70m, which itself is a remarkable transformation from April 2009 when it had net debt of £23.5m. While Photo-Me intends to keep its powder dry in order to fund its new laundry product and maintain a progressive dividend policy it has not ruled out further “specials”. The shares have gained 59% since we added them to the Trader Portfolio at 45p but we think there's more to come. Strong hold. ...
