Shares in pig meat processor Cranswick have recovered from a period of weakness, triggered by concerns that they wouldn't be able to pass on a rise in pig prices to their customers. However, this is not an unfamiliar problem to Cranswick and third quarter results for the period to 31 December suggest things are back on track. These showed underlying revenue 13% above the same period a year ago, helped by growth in pork consumption, particularly of roasting joints, with this momentum maintained over Christmas.
