Lavendon’s Q4 update noted results for 2014 are expected to be at the top end of expectations with revenues increasing 6% on a constant currency basis. ROCE and operating margins were ahead in spite of currency headwinds while net debt reduced from £97m to £95m.The UK (44% forecast ‘14 profit) grew revenues 1% and margins were nicely ahead in Q4 thanks to operational efficiencies while the Middle East (35% profit) grew revenues 20%, banishing fears that the lower oil price would spark a collapse in investment there.While European conditions are difficult Germany (8% profit) returned to revenue growth of 3% albeit versus weak comparators in Q4 ’13 while France (8% profit) was also up.The che ...
