Ibstock provided a reassuring update with trading in line, with revenues in the year ended 31 December rising 9%. The group will announce results on 10 March.Sales from concrete and clay products (80% of revenue) were up 9% primarily reflecting a stronger pricing environment for clay bricks. Despite the release and reduction of brick stocks by some housebuilders and distributors, total UK industry brick demand continued to exceed estimated annual domestic production capacity in the year. Meanwhile, price negotiations for 2016 have been concluded and are in line with expectations.
