Tritax Big Box - Industrial sheds owner growing quickly thanks to online commerce

Tritax Big Box (BBOX) is a FTSE-250 listed real estate investment trust, whose shares have enjoyed a strong debut since floating in December 2013 at 100p. BBOX owns a portfolio of 25 “Big Boxes,” effectively very large and highly efficient industrial sheds, which are used as distribution centres and logistics hubs and whose primary function is to hold finished merchandise and food for distribution either to other parts of the supply chain or directly to consumers. Demand for such sheds is rising strongly due to the searing growth in electronic and mobile commerce, with UK online sales forecast to soar from £86bn to £140bn between 2011-2016.
