Specialist homewares and home furnishings makers have been a lucrative niche for investors and since the start of 2010, Churchill China (table-wear for restaurants / hospitality) has soared from 219p to a peak of 1990p last year; Sanderson Retail (formerly Walker Greenbank, which makes high end wall-paper and coverings) jumped from 25p to 237p in 2017 while Portmeirion, which sells ceramics, homeware and home fragrance to consumers through five main brands, spiked from 270p to a high of 1280p in 2018.
