Shares in self-storage group Safestore remind me of the parable of the Hare and the Tortoise; I was expecting more the latter but the QE policies used to prevent a pandemic related crash has stimulated house moves (as many fled to the countryside) and increased demand for self-storage space. The result since my August 2018 write-up at 525p has been at one point a near three-fold gain for Safestore.Final results confirmed a staggering 34% jump in underlying eps to 40.5p, with EBITDA climbing 26% to £118m while free cash flow soared 30% to £89.5m, allowing a 35% rise in dividend to 25.1p. In the UK, EBITDA jumped 32% to £88.6m with like-for-like revenue up 17% reflecting a 5% increase in closing occupancy to a record 85.4% and ...
